FAQs and Care

Care

Here are some handy tips on keeping your Little Vine pieces looking brand new!

Polymer Clay Pieces

While polymer clay is designed to be lightweight yet strong, it can still be a bit flexible and bendy, even after it is cured. For all our handmade pieces, in order to maintain their integrity, please treat them delicately like you would any other jewelry item.

Store polymer clay pieces separately from other metals and sharp objects, which may scratch the surfaces of clay items. Ideally, house them in a dry and clean place (jewelry boxes and earring boards are great options!), and ensure they are away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with any liquids, perfumes, cleaning products, and excessive amounts of water (cured polymer clay is naturally waterproof, but keeping them dry will increase their life!).

Wire Wrap Pieces

Much like our polymer clay items, wire wrapped pieces are lightweight and durable, but can also be flexible if handled roughly. Do not pull or bend the wire. Avoid dropping the wire pieces, as many of them contain glass beads that can shatter. Please handle them gently and store them in a dry and clean place. Avoid contact with liquids of any kind. If you notice your wire wrap jewelry is in need of a fresh polish, gently rub them with a jewelry polishing cloth.

Little Vine Jewelry is not responsible for replacing broken items once they're in your hands, unless they were broken in transit (please see our Refund policy for more details). Please ensure you follow the provided care instructions carefully.

FAQs

What do you use to make your polymer clay pieces?
I mainly use Sculpey Premo to create all polymer clay pieces, as it’s considered the most strong and durable clay of the Sculpey line. However, it’s still very lightweight, which makes it the perfect clay to create both small and large pieces.

Are your earrings nickel-free?
All our earrings are nickel-free at the very least, and I use hypoallergenic materials wherever possible (e.g., earring posts). We use stainless steel or surgical steel wherever possible. Gold-plated items may irritate those with sensitivity. If you have a metal allergy, please make sure you read the item description carefully to see what kind of metal the items contains, or feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

My polymer clay/wire wrap jewelry contains slight imperfections. Why?
Every piece I make is handmade and unique; there are no two pieces alike. That is the beauty of a one-of-a-kind item! Slight imperfections are to be expected. All polymer clay pieces are cut from bricks of clay by hand, rolled and polished by hand, and assembled by hand. All wire wrapped pieces are cut and wrapped by hand, and all their beads are carefully selected and strung by me.

Because of their handmade nature, small imperfections, such as air bubbles and marks, may be present. The images I post should give you a good indication of what the item will look like once received. I do not accept returns or give refunds for small imperfections.

What is your processing time?
All in-stock items are pre-made and ready to ship! If an item is made-to-order, it will be clearly stated in the product description. Please allow 5-10 days for production.

You will be able to select your preferred shipping method at checkout. Please note that we are not responsible for an item’s arrival time once it is dropped off at the post office to be shipped.

My tracking number tells me my items have arrived, but I did not receive the package. What should I do?
Once we drop off the items to be shipped at the post office and you receive a tracking number, it is out of our hands and the responsibility is on the post office. Please reach out to Canada Post or your local shipping service (if you are a US or international customer) for next steps to locate your package.

My items arrived damaged. What do I do?
Apologies for the issue! We take great care in ensuring that all Little Vine pieces are mailed out in perfect condition. Please contact us via our Contact page or send us an email at littlevinejewelry@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your damaged item. Please include your order number and images of the item, so that we may offer a solution.

Are you accepting custom requests?
Currently, we are not accepting custom requests, unless the product description states otherwise. All our items are pre-made and ready to ship.

What kind of packaging do you use?
We try to be as green as possible when packaging orders! I reuse material from my personal orders whenever possible - almost all the tissue paper, packing confetti, and bubble wrap I use in my packaging are reused material. In addition to this, rather than use plastic bubble mailers, I use recyclable cushioned mailers made with 100% recycled paper.
